Budnick Recognized by MCIEDC
March 21st, Columbia, IL - Budnick Converting was recognized by the Monroe County, IL Economic Development Corporation (MCIEDC) on Thursday evening at MCIEDC's 3rd annual meeting and reception at 11 South, for excellence in producing regional growth and investment with a demonstrated promise of continued success.
MCIEDC noted Budnick's significant contributions in job creation, retention, innovation and superior service are major drivers to the economic vitality of the region. Budnick has been in its current location at 200 Admiral Weinel Blvd., since 1997 and is currently awaiting the completion of a brand new 100,000 square foot building that will more than double the size of the current building. Upon completion Budnick plans to increase it's current number of employees by at least 10 percent.
On hand from Budnick to receive the award were Ann Wegmann (President, Owner), Christy Hornacek (Quality & Communications Manager, Owner), Brad Albrecht (VP of Finance & Operations), Karen Limestall (Human Resources Manager), Steve Hornacek (Estimator), and Sarah Allgire (Accounting). "I'm very honored for Budnick to receive this recognition and am happy that we can make a positive impact in the local community," said Budnick Owner and President, Ann Wegmann.
MCIEDC's mission is to support the retention and expansion of current businesses; recruit prospective new businesses; support entrepreneurs, start-up enterprises, and emerging firms; promote employment opportunities and stability of employment; coordinate the provision of resources and administer direct services to current and prospective businesses; and assist local government in managing growth for the benefit of present and future generations.
