Flexographic Thin Plates
We are in the flexographic print industry and are using thin plates for some of our precision print jobs. We are having problems with the thin plates tearing when they are removed from the cylinders. Is there a solution for this?
Tesa has a new, state-of-the-art adhesive formulation, specifically developed for thin plate technology. It prevents warping and tearing of thin plates when they are removed from the tape. Tesa 15-mil Steel Master TP is available in two densities; a medium-hard foam (tesa 52115) that is ideal for solid and screen printing, and a soft foam (tesa 52117) for fine screen, process, and vignettes. tesa 52115 is easily identifiable by the blue tesa logo printed on the tape, and tesa 52117 has a red tesa logo printed on the tape.
