tesa ACXplus is a unique tape that is separated from other high bond acrylic tapes through its production process, enabling tesa to extrude acrylic core tapes with outstanding viscoelastic properties - the key to the high performance of the ACXplus tapes.
tesa ACXplus has a powerful bond on materials with different substrates because the acrylic adhesive system chemically adapts to the bonded surfaces. Further, the tape thickness can be customized to your application without layering multipile products together. This allows you to compensate for rough and uneven surfaces, or serves as a gap filler in addition to bonding.
During the life cycle of components, static and dynamic stress act upon a constructive bond. In some cases, these stresses are caused by different thermal elongations of the respective substrates. Due to the viscoelastic behavior of ACXplus tapes, stresses can be dissipated along the secure bond line even throughout differing elongation factors of varying substrates.
